Timothy R. Geiger is an associate attorney at Thomas Law Office. Mr. Geiger, a native of the Midwest, handles most of the firms' bankruptcy cases in Arizona. Mr. Geiger was a paralegal with the Arizona Attorney General's Office for years before deciding to take his interest in the law even further by attending law school. Mr. Geiger worked mostly on death penalty cases, working closely with the lead attorneys in many high-profile cases. Mr. Geiger handled much of the legal research and writing, and assisted in case preparation. After graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Law in May 2007, Mr. Geiger returned to Arizona from the Midwest and decided to focus on handling bankruptcy cases. He worked for a high-volume bankruptcy office, working on numerous cases and attending numerous bankruptcy hearings in a very short period of time. He was later recruited by Thomas Law Office to work in its bankruptcy department. Mr. Geiger has handled many complicated chapter 7 and 13 cases, and was on the forefront of a new approach to keeping certain people in chapter 7s that reportedly most attorneys were still advising to stay in chapter 13s. In addition, Mr. Geiger is skilled at negotiating substantial debt settlements for those Arizona clients who cannot or refuse to seek bankruptcy protection in Arizona; shaving tens of thousands of dollars off the average debt handled. In his free time, Mr. Geiger is an avid tri-athlete, having participated and completed in various Iron Man competitions.
